CREATING POSITIVE ENERGY

Our biodiesel is already helping to reduce CO2 emissions to the equivalent of taking approx. 20,000 cars off the road each year.

WE CAN DO MORE

At Green Biofuels Ireland, we have the capacity to double the output of our plant using Irish UCO (Used Cooking Oil) and Category 1 Waste Tallow resources –  converting Irish feedstock into Irish biofuel.

Currently there are 90,000 tonnes of Category 3 Tallow exported from Ireland each year. In 2022 GBI hopes to get department approval to use this CAT3 Tallow in our processes, retaining this valuable Irish resource for use as biofuel in our country.

We are working with SGS, the world’s leading testing, inspection and certification company, to determine our carbon score on CAT3 Tallow.

At GBI we are exploring the possibility of having our own UCO collection points.
